Working and families are very American and, are you ready for this? , Bartlettonian. Our town is made up of working families. They get up in the morning, go to the train or drive into some place away from our village and make a living. Many have made a living right here in Bartlett and opened their own business’s. They even believe they should buy every thing they are able to right here. Some would have you believe this is wrong. They would try to convince you there is no more space in your life. They would tell you that you can not be a Village President and have a family and make free choices on education. They want you to believe you have to be hands off.
Ask any mom and they will tell you, although they may say there is no more time they find a way and they find a quality way. When time gets limited the children will tell you it is time to work together and they will find ways to help without a whimper. As a matter of fact it could be family fun.
Children of a family realize the value of education whether it be parochial or public. 
They function as a team, a family so they can make the educational choices they want and enjoy. You can not defeat a family like that they stick together and help each other accomplish their individual goals as well as family goals.
There are families that have moved here and have lived here for generations. It is their community and they love it. They have no intention of moving, their only interest is in serving the people they live with.
